Thai Cottage Bistro is one of my new favorite Thai restaurants. It hits all of the right notes. Located on Medical Center Drive, right off Shady Grove Road, it is convenient and easy to find. A Parking garage is located right next store to the restaurant. The dining area is lovely, filled with cherry wood laminate topped tables, a floor that resembles bamboo, and plenty of plants and wall decor. The service was excellent. I was greeted warmly when I walked in the door. My server was so nice and efficient. My order was ready in 10 minutes. And , the food was simply amazing. It takes authentic Thai food and adds its own contemporary spin to it. Normally, a popular Thai appetizer is chicken satay. Thai Cottage Bistro creates a delicious sandwich with the grilled marinated chicken and a slaw that adds just the right amount of acid to the dish. The grilled bread is a perfect addition and the Thai peanut sauce is addicting. I would put that sauce on everything, if you let me. The sandwich is accompanied by fries and a salad. Next time, I will ask them to pack a the salad separately. My fries got a little soggy on the way home. I also ordered the dynamite shrimp. There were four large shrimp that had been delicately breaded and fried. The dynamite sauce was excellent too. The bill for both dishes was really reasonable and I am pleasantly full. What a gem of a restaurant and I will be back soon.

Chicken was crispy outside and soft on the inside paired with jasmine rice. Then the sauce sweet and sour which matched nicely with the crispy chicken. For takeout, you have to pay 5 cents for bag tax.

I needed to pass some time until I could head back to my side of town...traffic was quite congested. Came across this quaint bistro. It was conveniently located next to a free parking garage. When I entered I could feel the authenticity. It was a Monday evening so it wasn't crowded but lots of foot traffic from delivery services. I was seated immediately and ordered quickly. My order consisted of curry puffs and veggie dumplings. Both dishes were tasty and the dipping sauces were flavorful. While dining there was a TV showing how various Thai dishes were made in Thailand. It was very interesting and made time pass quickly.

Thai Cottage Bistro. The restaurant is very clean on the inside and has a modern setting. The customer service was very good as well. The food was great, really nothing to complain about. The dish I ordered was the Kao Mun Gai Tod which had fried chicken and rice and the proportions were great for its price. The dessert I had which was the Taro Roti is definitely a must try, it is a roti with taro inside with a side of matcha ice cream. Overall I would highly recommend this place and I will be coming back to try other dishes!

This is a really interesting spot. Thai fusion is not something that you come across a lot in this area. To be honest, I don't come across it a lot anywhere lol. The restaurant interior is well appointed, clean, and nicely decorated. Service has ALWAYS been very friendly and efficient. The last time I went, I got a Tom Yum sandwich. Yes, you read that right. A Tom Yum Sandwich. It was pretty good, but I will say... I probably would have preferred a bowl of the warm soup. The flavor was there... but maybe just a bit too concentrated on the chicken. They have larb gai tacos, green curry sandwiches. But they also have the more traditional soups and rice/noodle dishes as well. Everything I've had there has been delicious. Please don't be confused. But I'd honestly probably stick to the more traditional dishes next time I visit. I do remember, one time i went there and had the satay and it was a FANTASTIC rendition ( and that's saying something as my sister in law makes a superb Thai style chicken satay skewer). NOTE:They also have bubble tea drinks!

We tried the crispy chives cake, chewy tapioca, rice flour texture inside. It is unusual to be served paper plates to eat the appetizers. The Thaiger crying sandwich has spicy salad dressing but the sandwich itself is not spicy. The other dish is 5 spicy braised pork, very Chinese dish inspired. It is our 2nd time trying this restaurant. I like the beef massaman curry last time.

I decided to try this restaurant because their unique menu caught my attention. At first, I wasn't sure what to expect with a fusion Thai concept, but wow, the sandwiches I ordered were so yummy! I'm not too familiar with Thai food beyond classics like pad thai and pad see ew, but this menu introduced some truly creative options, especially the idea of combining Thai flavors into sandwiches. I couldn't imagine how green curry would work as a sandwich filling, but they nailed it. It was flavorful and delicious. For the price, you get a generous portion: a big sandwich, salad, and fries. I think it's totally worth it. The interior is very clean, and the menu offers a lot of unique, standout choices. Definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone looking for something different!

Finally had the chance to stop by Thai Cottage Bistro and really enjoyed my lunch here. Came during peak lunch hours and the restaurant was packed. Luckily I was able to snag one of the last two tables in the restaurant. Service was friendly and our food came out in a decent amount of time, especially given the amount of diners. I took advantage of their lunch special and ordered the Kao Mun Gai Tod (Thai-style fried chicken) with veggies dumplings and a Thai iced coffee for just $3 more! Great deal! I thought the veggie dumplings were pretty standard, but a good started to my meal. My fried chicken was crispy and tender - the sour sauce it came with wasn't neeneeded. The steamed rice it came with was seasoned, and I couldn't get enough of it. So good! This was my first time trying a Thai iced coffee and I enjoyed it. Not too strong or sweet. I definitely plan to come back!

This restaurant is sort of a hidden location, making it qualify as a hidden gem! When entering the restaurant, one of the first things that you notice is the green! The decor and calming music make the environment feel so peaceful. This is not your typical Thai restaurant, you will not find pad Thai here and that's what makes it special. My family and I got to try Thai dishes that we had never heard of before. We all loved our meals and they tasted amazing and so fresh! Book, one of the owners, is so friendly and truly cares about the service that he provides. Great restaurant and I definitely recommend it!
